Underdog Vipers Storm Into Championship Game

With Incredible Sunday Run

After a winless start in pool play, the 16U Vipers

authored one of the most memorable comeback stories

of the tournament, turning an 0-3 record into a

championship game appearance with three straight

upset victories on Sunday.

The Vipers entered bracket play as the No. 10 seed

after failing to pick up a win during pool play. Facing a

daunting path through the single-elimination bracket,

the team embraced the challenge and caught fire when it mattered most.

The turnaround began with an impressive 8-3 victory over the No. 7-seeded Lightning. The win gave the Vipers confidence and momentum as they advanced to face one of the tournament favorites.

Next came a thrilling offensive showdown against the No. 2-seeded Xtreme. In one of the highest-scoring games of the weekend, the Vipers outslugged Xtreme 18-14, delivering one of the biggest upsets of the tournament and proving their offense could match anyone in the field.

With a championship berth on the line, the Vipers continued their remarkable run by defeating the No. 3-seeded Fury, 11-8. The victory completed their third consecutive upset over higher-seeded opponents and punched their ticket to the tournament championship game.

The incredible Sunday run earned the Vipers a chance to battle the tournament's top-seeded team, Edge, for the championship. What began as a frustrating 0-3 weekend transformed into a showcase of resilience, determination, and belief, as the Vipers refused to let their early struggles define their tournament.

Three straight wins over the No. 7, No. 2, and No. 3 seeds demonstrated the heart of a team that saved its best softball for when the stakes were highest. Regardless of the outcome of the championship game, the Vipers' journey from the No. 10 seed to the title game will be remembered as one of the tournament's most impressive runs.
